Making A Difference

"And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you , ask what you can do for your country.  Let us go forth to lead the land we love, asking His blessing and His help, but knowing that here on earth, God's work must truly be our own" (Part of the inaugural speech by John F. Kennedy , 20th January 1961).

Feeling like age is creeping up on you?

Read quotes about ageing from Fred Smith, lifelong friend of Billy Graham: "By not staying involved in life, you are subconsciously giving yourself permission to die. You can't let up and keep up. By focusing on the 'can do's' instead of the 'used to do's', you not only follow the example of Christ, you also create a blueprint for the next generation."

And from Dame Fanny Waterman DBE, born in 1920 and founder of the Leeds International Piano Competition: "You don't stop working because you grow old; you grow old because you stop working."
Below: WE CAN ALL MAKE A DIFFERENCE - 13 year old Abby Miller from Sterling Va. has raised over $500,000 for research into finding a cure for neoblastoma, a childhood cancer; inspired by the five year old Abby befriended, Taylor Love, who has this disease. May we keep them both in our prayers.  Amen.
